Boxer - The Facts Every Owner Of This Dog Breed Should Know

Published by Admin under Uncategorized

A German breed descending from mastiffs, the Boxer was originally bred for the purpose of hunting. The first Boxers were bred to be fierce but these traits are not seen today. Boxers today tend to be gentle, loving and energetic dogs. They are stocky dogs of a medium size. Male Boxers will grow to an average height of 22 to 25 inches and weight of 60 to 70 pounds. Females Boxers will reach an average height of 21 to 24 inches and weight of 53 to 65 pounds. Boxers have an average life span of 11 to 14 years. Their coats are smooth and shorthaired, making Boxers easy to groom. In fact, Boxers tend to be ‘clean freaks’ and will clean themselves regularly. Generally, Boxer coats come in only two colors: brindle and fawn.

Some Boxers have white markings on them, known as flash, which can extend all over making them appear white. Boxers have short muzzles and their lower jaws extend past their upper ones. This gives them a very secure bite, something useful when they were hunting. Boxers are considered highly intelligent and easy to train. However, they can be independent thinkers and this can make them stubborn and sneaky. Though energetic they are gentle with children and other animals (if properly socialized) and make an excellent family pet.

They enjoy playing with children and will protect its family when a stranger approaches. Once introduced to the stranger, though, he will become a friend and the Boxer will greet him with enthusiasm in the future. Boxers are energetic dogs that love to run, jump, fetch and play so once daily exercise at a minimum is required. Boxers tend to be fairly active indoors and may become destructive if not given time to ‘burn off some steam.’ A well fenced in yard (if off leash) is also a must. Boxers are prone to many medical problems. Due to their short snouts, they tend to snore and drool, and have difficulty regulating their body temperature, making it difficult for them to live in locations where temperature extremes are common.

Boxers are also more likely to develop cardiomyopathy, sub-aortic stenosis, and hip dysplasia. Some Boxers are prone to epilepsy, and from age eight on they are more likely to get tumors than other breeds. They tend to have allergies and some Boxers may have excessive flatulence. Some white Boxers are prone to deafness. Boxers may also develop corneal dystrophy or Demodectic mange and some are prone to bloat. torsion (bloat) and if they do not get enough exercise will quickly become obese, leading to other health problems.

There is a website that has great information on Boxers and most other breeds of dogs. It has details that pertain to a dog breeds health, grooming, living conditions, best food choices and more, the website is called: Dog And Cat Facts, and can be found at this url:

How to Improve Your Search Engine Rankings and Get More Traffic?

Published by Admin under Uncategorized

Obtaining high search engine rankings for keywords that are closely related to your business is essential if you want to get more traffic to visit your website. The traffic from search engines are people who are searching for the service or product that you are selling, making them highly qualified leads for your business.

There are many things that you can do to improve your search rankings and get more traffic. Below is a catalogue of basic principles that you should keep in mind:

1. Create a website with valuable content. Put yourself in your readers’ shoes. Do they want to visit a website with lousy content? The content on your website should solve an immediate problem for them, so that they will be willing to stay on your website and read more. With valuable content, your website will be search-engine friendly, which is essential if you want it to rank well. Keywords that you intend to optimize should also be placed within your content. Avoid repeating the keywords too many times, as search engines will view this as a spam and blacklist your site. Hire a professional SEO copywriter to write good content, with keywords nicely blended within the content.

2. Choose the right keyword phrase to attract your target customers. Strategically choosing of your keywords that target your customer is essential for your online success. The last thing you will ever want is to be able to drive visitors to your website, but the services or products that you provide are not what they are looking for. Research and use keywords that are closely related to what you are offering. Place them in the right fields within your web page, such as: Title tag, Meta tags, Header tags, Alt tags, and within the first 25 words in your page content.

3. Keep your website design and architecture simple. There are many benefits in keeping things simple. Firstly, visitors to your website can navigate easily between pages, finding what they want and buy products and services. Secondly, with simple architecture and design, search engines spider crawlers will be able to index your site more easily and thus be able to consider your site for higher ranking.

4. Get more back links to your website. Getting back links to your website is the most important step in search engine optimization. You can get back links by writing articles with your website link at the bottom of each article, and submit them to article directories for publishing. You can also go to forums and blogs to post useful comments and threads. Social media platforms like social book marking and Squidoo can also get you quality back links.

5. Keep track of the latest search engine algorithm. As search engine algorithm changes every now and then, you need to keep track of them and modify your web pages accordingly. To get latest search engine algorithm updates and happenings, you can go to leading search or online marketing industry publisher websites such as Clickz and subscribe to their RSS feeds.

Obtaining high rankings in search engines organic listings is the foundation of getting more traffic to your site. Once your keywords rank well on search engines, you will need to continue putting in effort so as to make sure that your high rankings remain there.

-Article Submission: Article marketing is becoming a very popular method of advertising and this is one tool that works miracles for me. What I do is I write an article which can either be a sort of product review or just an informative article on the niche market I’m involved in. I make sure my article is not just another sales letter as this will automatically put off your readers. Remember we are not marketing in the actual body of the article but instead telling the readers enough to get them hungry for more, and how do they do this? They will head to the resource box where you have link site link or affiliate link. This is a sure fire way to marketing as that person is heading to your site already half convinced, and all that is left is for your site to finish the conversion. PHP, SEO, and Spiders - Oh My!

Published by Admin under Uncategorized

Dynamic database-driven sites have become very popular, and relatively easy to set up and administer, through the use of Content Management Systems (CMS) and PHP server-side scripting. It’s also possible to create a fancy-looking site with little actual content, or automatically generated code that can harm your SEO, such as multiple URLs that display identical content.

Search engines are constantly evolving and adapting in response to changes in the way information is presented on the web. Strategies that were once necessary to ensure inclusion of PHP pages are no longer required.

It was once helpful to generate a static HTML version of a PHP page so that all the “includes” could be indexed. Now search spiders “see” all the content on a PHP page, the same way it is viewed in a browser.

It used to be prudent to avoid dynamic URLs containing “? & =” - now, the search engines list URLs with the dynamic variables. However, it is best to compose them with no more than three variables. Some variable-laden URLs may be listed, but without any accompanying content/description, in the search results… Stay tuned for further developments as the search engines refine their methods.

With many hosts running the popular Apache server, developers are expanding the use of PHP by modifying the .htaccess file to allow PHP code processing within HTML documents, and enabling shorter URLs with fewer variables by configuring httpd.conf. Your web hosting provider’s support team should be able to tell you if these features are available for your site.

Implementing a common-sense approach to SEO for your PHP site requires cooperation and coordination among the developer, webmaster, and web host. Beware of “SEO Experts” with “secret methods” and “guaranteed results” - gimmicks that kludge the search spider today might hurt your ranking tomorrow.

A descriptive and catchy page title is one of the key elements of SEO - whether or not your site uses PHP - since it becomes the linked title of your search engine listing. Use the name of your site in the title to encourage branding, along with a brief capsule about the specific page. Remember that the title displays at the top of the browser window and in the menu bar, so keep it brief, less than 160 characters. Avoid using identical titles on multiple pages (this can easily happen with dynamically generated titles) because they may not be listed individually, and if they are listed separately, it’s confusing. Meta tags for description and keywords have become less crucial to SEO - but that doesn’t mean you should forget about them.

The basic principles of SEO that apply to static HTML sites also apply to dynamic PHP sites:

  • Provide engaging and valuable content presented in an attractive design.
  • Code should be error-free and standards-compliant.
  • Use keywords appropriate to your subject matter - don’t be tempted to use “tricks” that might end up hurting your search engine listing.
  • Encourage repeat visits with frequent updates, interactive features, membership sign-up, opt-in newsletters and, if appropriate, “freebies” - contests, giveaways, downloads and other resources.
  • Encourage linking to your site with copy & paste code. Reciprocal links build partnerships and enhance page rank, but avoid hosting bulky “link farms” and other venues for worthless web site spam.
  • Make use of tools provided by the search engines, such as creating a sitemap.
  • Educate yourself by reading the search engine faqs, as well as by perusing some independent forums for SEO tips and methods.

How To Setup A Blogging Account And Get Started

Published by Admin under Uncategorized

Firstly, go to a blogging site - we have used a well known blogger site as they are one of the quickest and easiest sites to get started with

The home page offers you previews and tutorials so that you can see what a blog is and what you can do with one. To start setting your own up just click on the ‘create your blog now’ link.

Next you will need to setup the account. If you already have a Gmail account then it tells you to login there (this will save you some time if you use those details). Otherwise, just give them an email address where your blog responses can be sent to and setup a username and password etc.

Once you have all of that gubbins out the way, it’s time to NAME YOUR BLOG!

*Choose wisely as this name will have to stick with you. If you choose something unique then you shouldn’t have a problem. However, if you go for something mainstream like ‘my diary’ or similar, chances are, it will have already gone*.

Once you have successfully named your ‘baby’ it is time to choose some clothes for it. It’s not too important how it looks at this stage but you can scroll down and choose different templates that you feel will reflect your personality or the message you wish to convey. (Remember though that white text on a black background can sometimes be difficult to read.)

We’re nearly there now. We just need to add our first entry and see how it looks. Type a welcome message and maybe give a little bit of background about yourself or your writing. If you have a website already - plug it! If you have created your blog using this tutorial - plug us! (seriously :-) http://strugglingauthors.org

You can include images, video clips and hyperlinks to other pages/sites. *(Remember that less is more though so keep it relevant and don’t scare away your visitors with overlong page load times or scary fonts and colours). Publish your blog and see how it looks to the world. If you’re not happy you can always edit it afterwards.

Basically, that’s it. What you fill your blog with is up to you. Please remember that this is an excellent marketing tool and that your blog in itself could be picked up and published. More than one blog has been turned into a book, magazine column or into a tv series. Just look at Billie Piper’s Diary of a Call Girl - that was based on the blog of a high class hooker!

Good luck and if you want to see a couple of examples of struggling author’s blogs then please follow the links below. If you are proud of yours and it is relevant to other struggling authors then send us a link and we’ll publish it here.

Good luck and happy blogging

Benefit of Reciprocal & Non-Relevant Links Killed by Google Jagger Update!

Published by Admin under Uncategorized

Google’s latest algorithm update, Jagger dropped site rankings dramatically of those that relied heavily on reciprocal linking schemes and especially those that gained most of their inbound links from limited networks of sites controlled by single companies. Some firms routinely sold those links and marketing firms had provided links from their own network of sites to clients.

This type of artificial link inflation has clearly been downgraded by Google in the Jagger update and many sites participating in extensive purchased links as well as marketing network links have been dropped dramatically in rankings of competitive phrases they previously did very well for.

Some of my own clients that had extensive reciprocal linking schemes in place have dropped in rank quite seriously. They naturally come running to me to ask why. When I point to their reciprocal links directory, full of non-relevant reciprocal linking partners, they can barely believe me that it would drop their rank so severely. When I remind them that I had, very early in our relationship, suggested that they drop those link directories from their site, it is difficult NOT to smile while saying “I told you so” to them.

One client had recently agreed to a substantial writing project to add extensive copy and additional textual material on their industry and products to their site. They were ranking on page three of results at Google previous to the Jagger update and I had convinced them that that position could be improved by adding about 20 pages of focused and highly relevant copy to their site. I completed that project a few weeks ago and we’re waiting for review and editing for the new section to go live.

Meanwhile, Google completed the Jagger update and this same client has dropped dramatically in rank for their most coveted keyword phrases. Why? They had been participating in a large link agreement with a single network of sites - a network that was not relevant to their industry or their products - but with thousands of links throughout the network pointing one-way links to them using anchor text with their keyword phrases included. Now that network has been recognized in the latest Google algorithm update and the client site is no longer rewarded for those thousands of links. They lost their page three position and have dropped entirely off the charts.

But - and I’m smiling here - as soon as we go live with the 20 new pages of highly relevant and focused copy that I just completed for them, I’m sure they’ll bounce back in the rankings as soon as the new section is indexed and ranked where highly relevant and useful copy belongs. This will clearly demonstrate the value of that added copy and is likely to guarantee that we continue with the additional 30 pages of valuable industry and product content I had previously recommended. More industry focused and highly relevant content means better rankings.

I’ve long insisted in my online ramblings that reciprocal linking is a form of insanity. Thankfully, now Google has agreed and clients are returning to have me save their position on the SERP’s. We’ll first do what I recommended several years ago and begin seeking one-way inbound links from relevant vertical directories, industry news sites and client partners and vendors. Then we’ll add substantial relevant textual copy - both original content and industry news, how-to’s and reviews contributed by partners and vendors.

Once they bounce back in rankings due to the added content and new worthwhile links, I’ll be smiling again along with my clients. Maybe they’ll believe me more readily when I tell them not to look for quick fixes and easy answers. Because it’s more expensive and time consuming to do things well (add relevant content and seek one-way inbound links) than to look for the latest simple tricks to game the system.

Unlock The Secrets To Get 500 Visitors A Day To Your Blog In Your First 30 Days Online

Published by Admin under Uncategorized

I am sure that if you are reading this article then that headline would probably have gotten your attention. Traffic is the lifeblood of any internet business. You need a lot of traffic to make a decent income. Ten or twenty visitors a day just is not going to cut it.

When you first start using this technique you probably will not be good at it so your results initially may not that be great. However, the more you practise the better you will get and eventually you will be able to reach these numbers for a new blog that you launch. I will discuss the new Web 2 techniques that you can use to achieve these numbers.

1) Submit your blog posts to blog carnivals

Blog carnivals are one of the very best ways that you can use to promote your website. These are high traffic blogs that publish blog posts grouped together for a niche market. So for example if you focus on fitness then you will submit your quality posts to these carnivals.

2) Submit your posts to the social bookmarking and story sites

Story sites like Digg are very popular. If you get a post that makes it to the front page you will get tens of thousands of visitors from that one post. The key to getting a post on the front page is that your article needs to be controversial that attracts a lot of attention. Make sure that you have a killer title as this will determine if it gets read or not. If you are using Wordpress you can also use a plug in that will allow people to submit a vote for your website with the social media site. This will increase your search engine rankings by increasing the link popularity of your articles. You can also use a service like Onlywire to submit your social bookmarking sites to all the major sites with one click.

3) Create videos and submit them to the video sites

Create videos regarding popular topics and submit them to video sites like Youtube. These websites receive a lot of traffic and I know of people who receive hundreds of thousands of visitors to their websites a year from video. Just make sure that you include a prominent display of the url to your website.

4) Develop free software and submit it to the popular download sites

This is a very overlooked method of traffic generation. I know of people who create software like screen savers and submit them to all the popular download sites. Using this technique they receive hundreds of thousands of visitors a year.

Would you like to know more about the magical marketing techniques that have helped me to quit my day job? I have just completed my new ebook.

Article Submission Alchemy or How Increase Your Page Rank, SEO and Internet traffic

Published by Admin under Uncategorized

In the past if you were small business, there were no ways, but to place paid advertisement into local newspaper to attract some attention to your small retail store, restaurant, or repair shop. Internet opens unlimited and virtually free possibilities for you, however there are some conditions, or better to say, you have to know how internet search engines, such as Google, yahoo, MSN work and how to make them work for your business, attracting leads, potential customers, employees, vendors with better conditions, etc.

1. Article and Keywords. First of all article should be a bearer of your website strategic keywords, otherwise it will be gunshot to the blue. Try to incorporate some keywords into article, press release, news or blog header, then keep supporting your introduction with additional keywords combinations. Do not overuse keywords, however, your publication should be written in natural language, otherwise both editor and search engine declassify it

2. About Author section and links back. The theory of page ranking says that the web page should have minimal number of outgoing links in order to achieve higher ranking itself. At the same time it should receive maximum number of incoming outside links to be boosted. We believe that this logic is in essence abolished and nowadays Google deploys multiple concurring parameters to determine the page rank. Plus, official page rank, that you can see on Google toolbar is actually related to page aging process and is not directly related to real pagerank in search results. Just try to think about internet news. You often see news headlines relevant to your search queries on the top and obviously these news headlines are on not yet ranked pages of media portals. Back to the paragraph - feel free to place up to five links back to your web sites

3. Originality of the header. Yes, we believe that Google tries to evaluate the header to be dense with relevant keyword and at the same time to be uniquely original and in essence represent good example of your creativity as journalist. We believe that it matches relevance and originality of header words combination. Please see alchemy keyword in the header and this might be one of the reasons for this article to be ranked relatively high.
