How to Get Listed on Google

Published by Admin under Uncategorized

Following is a question frequently asked by many of my subscribers and the general Internet Marketing crowd. How did you get your website listed at the top of Google for your chosen keywords.

There are several ways of doing this and I will give you the best tips on how to do this. Before continuing I’ve got to take something off my chest.

Do NOT pay any submission service to get your website or blog listed. Unless you have deep pockets and a bank account with thousands of dollars to do as you wish it still will NOT work. I guarantee that paying any submission service to get your website listed on Google is a complete waste of time and money!

Free submission services are also a waste of time…don’t do it. These submission services make their money from unsuspecting new Internet marketing folks who have no idea what they are doing.

Ok…here is how you get your website listed without all the hassles.

1. Write an article about whatever your website or blog is about. Then submit it to the article directories. Just make sure that you insert your website URL or Blog URL in the bio page of each directory. Be sure to add some of the same keywords that you use on your website.

2. The absolute best article directory is EzineArticles and if you are reading this article then you should already have an idea on how it is done.

Ok…now if you don’t believe me here is proof on how this works. Google “Southwestern trees” you will see my gardening website listed on the first page and top billing. I actually have hundreds of webpages that are listed at the top of Google SERP’s. I did this by writing articles about southwestern trees and submitting them to the articles directories.

I know you are still wondering about a new website? Try Googling “How to start a website”. You will see my EzineArticle listed on the first page and 5th maybe 7th position. But this time my article about starting a website is an EzineArticle link. And if you click on the link it will take you to my article and my bio page with contains my website URL.

Search Engine Optimisation Services Specialist Discusses Website SEO Part 4

Published by Admin under Uncategorized

The Google search engine is always changing and so you need to continue testing to keep up with the changes that will affect your search engine optimisation process. If you are a professional SEO services specialist and your Client’s product is constantly changing then you need to inform your Client to stick to one product initially. Then design your campaign for that client to be more “horizontal” to capture more keyword areas, incorporating the other products of your Client.

Keep in mind that you can create many pages on your website other than your main page. Use all the pages that you create on your website to brand your name. Do some of your own testing and configure each webpage effectively from a search engine optimisation perspective and place that information out onto the internet by hand submitting your website’s url to the Google search engine.

If you configure your website and the related pages properly you will get first page rankings on the Google search engine. Let us touch on the subject of Press Releases. Join a professional, long standing reputable free press release company. As mentioned before, the power of say forty press releases written and placed on the Google search engine for ’spidering’ is immensely powerful. Produce forty good effective keyword specific press releases about your business opportunity not forgetting to include your website url and that is basically all that you would need to do.

Why, because each post submission whether it is a blog, forum, article or press release creates its own unique url or link. You hand submit every single link you create all the time to the Google search engine. What does this do? It builds links pointing to and promoting and talking about your website. The Google search engine spider loves this and it satisfies an important ingredient of effective and successful search engine optimisation which is building links that point to your website.

Four Steps to Get Indexed in Search Engines in Less Than 24 Hours

Published by Admin under Uncategorized

The major work for your site is done after design and publishing - or is it?

You have pin-pointed your niche, have done your keyword research and found your business edge. You optimized the text in your copy to reflect the preferred keywords and spent hours designing the most perfect template for your site. Your web site is published after many hours of absolute slave work. You have created great images, excellent colors and have inserted your auto-responder code for signing customers up. You desperately need this site indexed in Google so that customers can find you. So is the major work done - not yet my dear reader.

Step one: Create a blog on your site
Use the commercial script library inside your hosting panel to create a blog on your site. This installation can be in the root folder or in a directory named after one of your main keywords. Install a blog plug-in that will create an XML sitemap and continuously update it as new posts are added to the blog. Ensure that you configure your ping services under the Settings / Writing / Update Services. Create at least four unique, original keyword relevant posts on this blog.

Step two: Create a sitemap
Here is a unique twist. Although there are various extremely good sitemap creator software options on the web, you can use the XML sitemap plug-in to do this for you. It can be set to automatically create the sitemap and also automatically update the sitemap after posts to your blog. The plug-in can be configured to place the sitemap in the blog folder or in any other location within your site. It would be preferable to have the sitemap located in the root folder. You can also configure the plug-in to include other sub-folder pages of your site in the sitemap.

Step Three: Create another blog
Create another blog at one of the main free blogging sites using your main keyword as the name of this blog. Obviously this should not cost anything. Create another 2 unique, original keyword relevant posts on this additional blog. Use H1 and keyword bolded tags pointing to your blog or main site index page in these posts.

Step Four: Submit your site to the search engines
If you do not have a search engine webmaster tools account, create an account, using one of the free mail services, to access the webmaster tools. Use that mail address to create a master search engine webmaster tools account. Log into the search engines webmaster tools account, add your site and follow the prompts to tell the search engines where the sitemap is located on your web site.

That is it. I have seen results within 4 hours, but typically rather allow approximately 18 hours for the first result to appear.

Free Online Traffic Generation Technique - Link Trading

Published by Admin under Uncategorized

If you are looking for free online traffic generation options, then one of the best methods you can use is link trading. However, it does take some work and you may want to work on building the credibility of your site before trying this technique.

Otherwise, here are some tips to get you started with this method of free online traffic generation.

How Link Trading Works

Basically, the idea is simple. You and the owner of another site agree to swap links to one another’s properties. The idea is that your visitors will click on the other site’s link and vice versa. It’s a good way to boost traffic at both sites without spending a dime. To make this free online traffic generation technique work, however, you need to keep a few things in mind.

Keep the Following in Mind

First, you need to choose another site that attracts a similar audience. Unless you only care about the numbers and aren’t trying to convert traffic into buyers, you won’t want just anybody coming to your site.

Second, you want to pick trade links with a site that is reputable. Don’t trade links with sites that infect visitors with spyware or that collect personal information to sell to third parties or anything like that. Do a little homework on the sites before you reach an agreement.

Third, if you’re trying to do a link swap with a site that has more clout than yours consider sweetening the deal by offering a percentage of profits from customers who reach you via the link.

By doing these things you can use link trading as an effective and free online traffic generation technique.

Monitor and Increase Your Search Engine Visibility with the DIY SEO Tools

Published by Admin under Uncategorized

In this three part article, you’ll find many tools that any webmaster can use to monitor your site’s search engine position, and use to increase the visibility of your site in major search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN.

URL Trends

http://www.urltrends.com/

Most of the coverage I’ve seen focuses on the ability of UrlTrends to allow you to “View Any URLs Google PageRank, Alexa Rank, Popular Search Terms and Incoming Links”.

And that’s a great thing, to be able to see all of that from one place. But one great thing missed about this tool are that you can subscribe to changes to the results via RSS -hands off monitoring of your site.

Fagan Finder’s URL Info

http://www.faganfinder.com/urlinfo/

This online gadget is like the Swiss Army knife of site information, giving you one-page access to dozens of pertinent check-ups. But monitoring relevant search engine information like your backlinks, or the cached pages in a search engine are just the tip of the iceberg.

You can use URL Info to check that your HTML code is validated, translate your page, and if you’re a blogger, discover where your site is mentioned in the blogosphere.

Spannerwork’s Spider Simulator

http://www.spannerworks.com/spidersimulator.0.html

Ever wondered what your site looks like to the search engine spiders that crawl the web, looking for information to include in their databases? Go to this page to see what information is seen by the spider and what it skips over.

Spannerworks.com can also help you figure out how to troubleshoot content that seems like it should show up to a spider but doesn’t, with its HTTP viewer. They also have a tool that will analyze your keyword density.

GoRank.com’s Top Ten Comparison

http://www.gorank.com/seotools/

If you’ve been banging your head against the wall in an attempt to figure out why you haven’t hit the top ten results in Google, GoRank.com has a page that can give you important clues to help you figure it out. One of my favorites, the Top Ten comparison report, will scrub the raw data of the top ranking results for a given keyword.

In studying the results, you may find it easier to understand where your own optimization efforts are going wrong. Don’t forget to stop by Google for your API key at http://www.google.com/api as you’ll need it to create your free account.

Search Guild’s Keyword Difficulty Checker

http://searchguild.com/difficulty/

This one’s an old favorite of mine. When you find what you may think is an ideal keyword, before you start tweaking your pages, it’s a good idea to run it through this tester. Using the Google API, it analyzes whether or not a given phrase will be worth your efforts.

You’ll already have to be well-versed in how to find good keywords to plug into the tool, but once you have that nailed, it’s pretty reliable in telling you whether it’s worth your time to target that phrase. If you use flash on your site, check out the flash viewer on their utilities page as well.

In the next article in this series, you can read more about tools specific to Yahoo and Google that will help you track your rankings and study your site.

Search Engine Optimization For Beginners - Optimization is Important

Published by Admin under Uncategorized

Search engine optimization is simply the term used to describe the process of proactively working to have your website show up for a certain keyword phrase when someone does a search online.

The idea is to bring those searchers to your website because they are the group of people that are most interested in your product or service online. The first thing to consider when you want to begin search engine optimization is to ask yourself, what “keyword phrase” do I want my website to show up on the first page of the search engines when someone does a search online.

Once you have picked out this search term you want to include this term in the “title tag” of your webpage. The title tag simply tells search engines what the title of that webpage is so that it helps to index your webpage. Most programs that you will use to design your website will tell you where to enter the title tag when designing your website. If you are having a professional do it for you then you want to tell them the title tag you want to use.

Once you have finished with the title tag the next thing would be the description of the webpage, you want to make sure this is relevant and has keywords that are related or help describe your title tag.

The next very important component of your website would be content, your content is what search engine users are after when they search using the engines. The big players in search know this so you must provide unique content preferable on a regular basis to rank well with the search engines.

The Evolving Nature of Web 2.0 Technology

Published by Admin under Uncategorized

Part of the charm of Web 2.0 technology is that it is constantly getting a little more innovative while continuing to be user friendly. This should come as no surprise, as one of the basic premises of Web 2.0 is that any applications developed will seek to make the best use of the inherent powers and abilities of the Internet. It is this type of forward thinking that is helping to make the concept of Web 2.0 make more sense to a greater number of people.

One of the things about technology associated with the concept of Web 2.0 is that the applications will make life easier for more people. This means that all the things we are already used to doing on the Internet will be accomplished with more ease, or possibly with less steps than in times past. Essentially, the newer applications will make enhance older tasks and allow us to derive more satisfaction from being connected to the Internet, and possibly spend more time online making purchases, paying bills, or engaging in other tasks that we used to consider too cumbersome to accomplish online.

At the same time, Web 2.0 technology strives to provide us with new ways to make life easier. For example, many people use various forms of Web 2.0 applications to generate some extra income. This may be by making use of an auction site, or signing up for pay per click income based on allowing ads to be placed on a personal web site. These are options that were not common several years ago, but are now found all over the Internet. The potential to earn a living from the Internet is so strong that some people even quit their day jobs to go into online work completely.

Another aspect of the evolving online technology is that there seems to be a deep pool of potential for the Internet that remains to be harnessed and given some form that the average user can grasp. This is a good thing, as it means more applications that apply to a wider range of situations will be developed over time. All it really takes is the recognition of a need, and the willingness of someone to identify that there is already basic technology in place to speak to that need.

Web 2.0 technology has changed the way we do so many things, from shopping to communicating to looking up information on a subject of interest. Why not spend some time exploring the Internet and see what types of technology are in place that can make your life easier?

James Woodley is the writer for the website http://web2.0.webinfo-site.com. Please visit for information on all things concerned with The Evolving Nature of Web 2.0 Technology

How to Get Over 100 Free PR Backlinks

Published by Admin under Uncategorized

The importance of generating backlinks to increase Page rank can not be emphasized any more, it is absolutely mandatory. Once you start your backlink building campaign, you will find that it can be a difficult task if you don’t know which direction to take.

The traditional way to acquire backlinks is to search the internet for websites with a high PR that share the same or similar interest with your own and ask them for a reciprocal link. A reciprocal link is an link exchange between two website owners where each party agree to place each others links on their websites. The problem that occurs when searching for reciprocal links is, if you are just starting out, then your page rank will probably be zero. Most sites that are already established do not gain any incentive to exchange links with you.

The other alternatives to finding established sites to link is to get a little creative in order to build some backlinks. We all know that Web 2.0 social networking sites have bombarded the internet, but what most people do not realize is that they are a great source of high Pr backlinks. You can set up an account with several networks, submit a blog with a link to your website and voila!; you have created a quality backlink to your website.

Another source for acquiring backlinks that usually goes unnoticed are RSS feeds. You can use RSS feed for a variety of reasons. One reason is to receive great exposure for your website or blog. Once you submit your website to an RSS Feed Directory your feed can be subscribe to by numerous readers, thus creating great exposure for your website. RSS feeds are also a great backlinks tool, you can not only generate backlinks every time your RSS feed is subscribe to, but you will also get free backlinks from each RSS feed directory you use to submit your website.

For best results submit to about 15 directories at a time to spread the amount of traffic you will receive. Spreading your traffic will also help with you Google ranking. The search engines rank websites with consistent traffic higher. You also do not want to generate too many backlinks too fast, as to not raise any eyebrows with Google.
